Harry Kewell could be set to leave Celtic to take up the reins at J1 League side Yokohama F. Marinos.
This is according to Japanese outlet Sponichi which claims the former Liverpool star is the favourite for the position after fellow countryman Kevin Muscat departed the role.
It also states that the Australian has been in talks with the club that have been progressing "smoothly".
Kewell joined the Celtic coaching set-up under Ange Postecoglou in the summer of 2022 after an unsuccessful spell in charge of English National League side Barnet.
Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers provided an update on Cameron Carter-Vickers after the defender was substituted at half time during the victory over Hibernian.
The Scottish champions ran out 4-1 winners against Nick Montgomery's men at Parkhead thanks to a double from Oh Hyeon-gyu, a header from Matt O'Riley and Luis Palma converting from the penalty spot.
One negative for the hosts was the withdrawal of the USA international during the break, however, Rodgers reassured fans that it was just a precaution.
Speaking to Celtic TV, he said: "Cam just felt his hamstring so we did not want to take any risks. He has not pulled it but he just felt it a bit tight."
"It is probably due to the accumulation of games and it [centre-back] is the one position we have not changed around too much because the continuity is very important.
"We just took him off as a precaution."
