England captain Harry Kane has been spotted repping a rainbow rolex on his arrival to the Khalifa International Stadium ahead of their World Cup opener against Iran on Monday. The watch comes after the Three Lions confirmed that they would not wear the OneLove armband in Qatar due to the threat of FIFA sanctions.
England and a host of European countries were set to participate in the 'OneLove' campaign to promote inclusion and oppose discrimination in the Middle east., However, a joint statement from seven football associations said they could not place their players "in a position where they could face sporting sanctions".
Kane repped a 'No Discrimination' armband instead in England's 6-2 win over Iran earlier this week, but was pictured wearing a rolex watch with a rainbow outline circling the face of the watch on his arrival to the stadium.

The topic of FIFA's decision to pull the plug on the campaign during the tournament has been one widely discussed within the football world this week. On Tuesday, Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka was quizzed on the disappointment of the decision but was reluctant to comment too much.
"Since Monday we haven't had a lot of time to discuss it but I'm sure we'll get the time to discuss and make a decision and maybe say what we have to say."
Yesterday, in his pre-USA press conference, Gareth Southgate discussed the topic once again and insisted his side do not feel any pressure to make a statement. "I don't think we should feel any pressure," he said. "We've spoken about this issue for over a year and we've spoken on all matters of causes... I think there's a risk that everyone tries to escalate."
