Tottenham ’s newly-crowned record goalscorer Harry Kane took a phone call from an emotional Antonio Conte after breaking Jimmy Greaves’ record against Manchester City.
The England captain headed into the clash with Pep Guardiola ’s men level with the Spurs icon. It did not take long for him to break the record having found himself in the perfect place to take advantage of lax play from the visitors.
His cool finish put him onto 267 strikes for the North London side in all competitions, whilst he has also became only the third man to chalk-up 200 goals in the Premier League after Newcastle and Manchester United icons Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney.
