Harry Kane makes Tottenham contract decision amid Man United interest and more transfer rumours

Harry Kane will hold off deciding whether to sign a new contract at Tottenham until they appoint a new manager, according to reports.

Kane will enter the final 12 months of his deal at the end of the season, with speculation rife as to whether the 29-year-old will leave in search of silverware. Manchester United are known admirers of the striker, with Erik ten Hag eyeing a world-class goalscorer this summer. The Dutchman also has eyes on Victor Osimhen and Randal Kolo Muani among others.

Spurs currently have Christian Stellini in temporary charge following the departure of Antonio Conte and are expected to appoint a full-time replacement at the end of the season. And according to 90min, Kane will hold off on any decisions until that new name is appointed.

The report adds that Tottenham will not push Kane to come to the table early, and understand that their all-time top scorer will need to see plans in place before committing his future, something they remain confident he will do. Any approach from United will likely face competition, with Bayern Munich also eyeing a No.9.

Elsewhere, German journalist Christian Falk has told CaughtOffside that RB Leipzig are struggling to secure a new contract for United-linked Dani Olmo. He will enter the final 12 months of his current deal this summer, with interest across Europe including that of United.

The Spanish winger would prefer to join Barcelona when he does leave Germany, but is said to be open to a Premier League move. A fresh deal has been under discussion, with Olmo demanding the insertion of a release clause that can be activated this summer.

But according to Falk, Leipzig are hesitant to add such a clause in fear of it being activated late in the summer window, preventing them from signing a replacement. The impasse could see Leipzig decide to sell their winger this summer, opting to start a bidding war between interested parties rather than a simple release clause.
