Harry Kane revealed he knew which way Aaron Ramsdale would dive as he sent the Arsenal keeper the wrong way with his penalty kick.
Tottenham secured a vital three points in the north London derby as Kane's brace sealed a 3-0 victory for Antonio's Conte men. Kane opened the scoring for Spurs from the spot-kick after Cedric fouled Son Heung-min. The England star, who typically goes to his left with penalties, went to the opposite side.
Kane revealed at full-time that he knew Ramsdale would dive to his right because he has taken a few against him in England training.
He said: "I haven't been to that side for a while, my regular side is to my left but I've practiced them in training all week and like to go where I'm feeling good, and that was the better one today. I've obviously taken a few against Aaron for England in training so I thought he was going to go the way he did."
Arsenal knew a win would have secured them Champions League football but now Spurs are hot on their tails as they close to gap to a single point. And Kane was delighted with his side's dominant performance and hailed the atmosphere inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as one of the best he's ever experienced.
He said: "I'm proud of the boys, it was a big night tonight, if they won they secured Champions League, there was pressure on us in front of our home fans. We delivered well, started the game on the front foot, creating chances, then controlled the second half really well. I'm delighted to get the win, whenever you win the derby it's always nice."
Asked if this was the best atmosphere he has played in front of, he added: "I think so, you could really feel the anticipation building up to the game on the way to the stadium on the coach."

Kane was optimistic about Spurs' chances of securing Champions League football but concedes there is still more work to do with two games remaining of the season.
He said: "We knew we had to deliver. We've got the bragging rights but there are still two games to go, the most important thing is the Champions League.
"We can only control our games, we've done our job here tonight. We've got an early game Sunday, we can get a good result there and it really puts the pressure back on them. We're not going to get ahead of ourselves, we know tonight was a special night but we know the most important thing is that fourth place and we have work to do."
