Harry Kane has given fans a small hint that he may well be settled in London ahead of a summer that is widely expected to see some major offers come in for his services. With just over 12 months remaining on his contract and several of Europe's top sides keen to add a new striker, he is as good as it gets.
The 29-year-old has already scored 28 league goals this season, unsurprisingly picking up the club's player of the season award at a thoroughly negative awards presentation on the pitch after the 3-1 loss to Brentford. There is a chance that Spurs won't be able to offer him any form of European football next year, though.
Ryan Mason's side can still finish ninth in the table if an unlikely set of results go against them on the final day of the season. It may not be enough, even then, for Kane. Spurs are making hard work of preparing for the new season, a fact unlikely to help with their pitch to Kane for another year in north London.

As well as being without a director of football after Fabio Paratici was given a ban following the investigation into Juventus, there is also only bad news on the manager front. Arne Slot ruled out a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after being the favourite to replace Antonio Conte.
It leaves Daniel Levy without a current first-choice option to take over heading into the summer. Meanwhile offers from Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich could be just around the corner for Kane.
Before that, though, Kane was given yet another prestigious award. For his sporting achievements for club and country, he has been given Freedom of the City of London. Speaking about the honour, he said: "This award serves as a reminder that hard work and dedication are crucial for success and motivates me to continue making a difference across the country and in the city that I love and grew up in.”
Although it may not seem like much, Kane's ties to London may well serve as motivation to stick through more troubling times at Tottenham and ignore any potential for a transfer this summer.
