Five different players were on the scoresheet for Tottenham as they blew Newcastle United away, and England captain Harry Kane was lauded for his contribution despite not being one of them.
Kane provided the assist for Spurs' go-ahead goal, converted by Matt Doherty, while Ben Davies, Son Heung-min, Emerson Royal and Steven Bergwijn also found the net. However, despite still being his team's top scorer this season, the 28-year-old couldn't deliver a goal of his own.
The striker's creative streak has returned under manager Antonio Conte, who admitted it was a shame the number 10 didn't get on the scoresheet. And Conte wasn't the only one to praise aspects of Kane's game, with former Spurs star David Ginola even going as far as to compare the Englishman to Diego Maradona.
"His performance was amazing," Conte said after the game, with the victory taking Spurs level on points with top four rivals Arsenal. "I said to him at the end of the game ‘it was a shame he didn’t score’, but he played fantastic and made an assist."
"To have this type of player in your team makes you strong, having him in our side is very important. I like the person, first of all, sometimes players with great talent don’t work hard.
"Before a great player, he’s a great mate. He has been an example since the first day. Usually when you are a top player, sometimes you are a bit lazy, but this is what I like is that he is a big example for his teammates."

Kane was named man of the match on Sky Sports' coverage of the game, despite drawing a blank in front of goal. Former Spurs midfielder Ginola was among those watching the game in the studio, and he too was full of praise for the frontman.
"Spurs’ new playmaker, I told you, it’s a new Harry Kane," Ginola said. "He is their number 10 now, he’s like Maradona! It’s the new Harry Kane."
The striker could easily have added a second assist later in the second half. He sent Son clean through on goal with a ball from the halfway line, but the South Korea forward dragged his shot wide with only Martin Dubravka to beat.
The miss didn't matter in the end, though. Spurs were briefly behind when Fabian Schar's free-kick slipped through Hugo Lloris' grasp, but once they took the lead they rarely looked like letting their opponents back into the game.
Conte's team ended the evening in the top four, and will stay there if Arsenal lose at Selhurst Park on Monday night. Next up for Spurs is a trip to out-of-form Aston Villa on Saturday evening, as the race for Champions League football continues to heat up.
