Harry Kane Arsenal and Chelsea transfer call made for him as Tottenham receive £80m Bayern offer

Harry Kane has been told by former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp there is no chance of a transfer to Arsenal and Chelsea this summer. The 29-year-old is usually linked with an exit from Spurs in every transfer window with his frequent goal-scoring regularly failing to be matched by Spurs' domestic success.

In the current trading period, Bayern Munich have been the team showing the strongest interest and the German champions have already seen an offer turned down. A second bid reportedly totalling £80million is subsequently being prepared but football.london understands Tottenham are still making it very clear that they would immediately reject a bid for Kane should they receive one.

New Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has also spoken on the future of Kane where he appeared to hint he is unsure about where the England captain will be playing his football next season. "Question three was Harry, was it?" Postecoglou responded with a wry smile. "We were running a pool with the coaches, I think Mile Jedinak won actually. I had over six because I thought you'd care more about me. In terms of the squad, think it's fair to say the reason I'm here is because the club is seeking change.

"A change of direction, a change in the way we do things and that usually means a change in personnel: players and staff. In that context, my role right at the minute is to deal with what's in front of me, the certainties that I have, [while] knowing that are going to be many uncertainties and trying to tick off one by one the path forward for us and [determine] what our squad is going to look like.

"It may take a little while before we have clarity on that. But within that I can't wait for that moment to start working. We've started working already." According to The Telegraph, Kane remains open-minded about his future and is prepared to listen to what Postecoglou has to say once the pair meet at Hotspur Way on Wednesday.

With a young family settled in London, a move abroad does not appear to be at the top of Kane's desires, however chairman Daniel Levy is far more likely to sell to a non-English club. A reunion at Stamford Bridge with former boss Mauricio Pochettino has not been ruled out with Chelsea also looking for a striker.

While a shocking north London switch to Arsenal has been suggested far too often in recent times for the liking of many Spurs fans, however Redknapp believes neither will happen and that Kane will remain at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Speaking on talkSPORT, via The Boot Room, he said: “Harry wants to win trophies. If he stays in England, the only club really you could go to is Man City. Where are you going to win a trophy in England, guaranteed, unless you are at Manchester City?

"I think Arsenal will be close next year, hopefully Liverpool will push on. Unless you go to Man City, who don’t need him, winning a trophy there’s no guarantee. He’s not going to go to Arsenal, he is not going to go to Chelsea, they are not going to sell him there.

“At the end of next year, he is a free (agent). Would he go to Manchester United or somewhere on a free? Maybe or somewhere. I think he will end up committing his future to Tottenham and staying there.”
