No one can deny the quality link-up play of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, who have both been key players for Tottenham for a number of years now, and they showed it once again when they broke the record for the most Premier League combination goals scored by a duo.
The Spurs players now top the list after overtaking Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, with Son scoring the last goal in Tottenham's 4-0 victory over Leeds, taking their combination total to 37.
The duo have been playing together in north London since the South Korean's arrival in 2015 and scored their first combination goal when Kane assisted Son against Stoke City in 2016.
The 37 goals have come against teams across the country including: Man City, Liverpool, West Ham, Man United and Arsenal, in various stadiums and both with and without fans.
After Antonio Conte's side beat Leeds on Saturday, the duo spoke on their record but remained humble and didn't fail to mention how important the win was for their side.
"It’s a big honour [the record], I mean it’s fantastic," Son admitted. "I mean the record is also important, but I think the three points because of midweek, the result was not the best or what we wanted.
"So I think we take, of course, the record, but most important thing was that we get three points today."
Kane reiterated this as the three points came after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Burnley during the week.
"We’ve been playing with each other now for a long long time and you know, we just understand each other’s games well and obviously when I kind of drop deep, Sonny knows kind of where to run and hopefully I’m able to put him in and you saw that for the last goal," the England captain explained.
"We enjoy playing together, like we said, the most important thing is the team though and another fantastic display from everyone."
To whittle their goals down to just five favourites is a difficult task but football.london has had a look at all of the goals and taken some picks.
5. Kane vs Leicester - 21/09/2019
A disappointing game overall as Tottenham lost 2-1 in their first fixture against The Foxes of the 2019/20 season.
Kane got the first goal of the match and in the build-up to it, Erik Lamela played a through ball to Son who back heeled it to the striker on the edge of the box.
What stands out about the goal was Kane being knocked off balance by Caglar Soyuncu as he received the ball, but as he was falling to the ground he managed to kick the ball over Kasper Schmeichel and into the back of the net.
4. Son vs Leicester - 18/05/2017
Another Leicester goal and this time it was the South Korean that impressed in Tottenham's 6-1 demolition against the Foxes.
In a game which was a Kane and Son masterclass, with them scoring all six goals, it was their second combination goal of the game which stood out.
Moussa Sissoko sent the ball into the path of Kane in the attacking half of the pitch.
The England captain turned with it, passed it to Son, who was making a run down the pitch.
The 29-year-old then used his skill with a couple of step overs, dragged the ball slightly back and round the Leicester defender and then from outside the box, had a shot which curled into the bottom right corner of the net.
3. Son vs Man United - 04/10/2020
In a game that involved a penalty, red card, no fans and seven goals, Son and Kane both assisted each other in Tottenham's incredible 6-1 win over Man United.
Bruno Fernandes put his side in front in the second minute of the game from the penalty spot and it was Tanguy Ndombele who got the Lilywhites' equaliser.
Son was then the man to take his side 2-1 up and of course it was assisted by the Spurs striker.
In the build-up to the goal, the South Korean headed it to Kane, who was fouled just inside the attacking area.
Rather than waiting and creating a big free-kick situation, the England captains quick thinking found him get straight up and played a through ball to Son. He then ran ahead of the two Man United defenders who were either side of him and slotted the ball over David de Gea and into the back of the net.
2. Son vs Arsenal - 06/12/2020
It couldn't be a top five without a goal in a North London Derby and this was another Son one in December 2020. It was another game without a stadium full of fans but it was another fine goal from the Tottenham duo.
Kane received the ball in the defensive half, swung his body to play it to Son, who was running into the attacking half.
The South Korean did look up as if he may pass the ball but decided to shoot himself, outside of the box and his curling shot went right into the bottom corner of the net.
It would've been a great one to celebrate with fans but the Lilywhites got the three points against their north London rivals, which is the main thing.
1. Kane v Man City to equal record - 19/02/22
The goal to equal the combination scoring record came just a week ago, when Tottenham beat Man City in a thrilling 3-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium.
After losing to Wolves and Southampton at home, it was a needed three points for Spurs but not one fans expected.
For the England captain's goal, Ryan Sessegnon played the ball to Son on the left hand side, just outside the box.
Kane raised his hand to call for the ball as he made a run into the box and as none of Pep Guardiola's players marked him, the South Korean was able to find his teammate with a cross and the 28-year-old tapped it into the back of the net to take Spurs 2-1 up.
It may have been a more subtle effort from both players, but there a few occasions where the link between the duo is seen as keenly.
Kane's assists may be overall more eye-catching than Son's, but the way they can read each other on the pitch is something that fans will hope continues for a number of years to come.
