Harry Gration’s family have shared a heartbreaking post of how their dog is coping with his death.
Mr Gration, father of six and former BBC Look North Journalist, died at the age of 71, last month.
His Twitter account is now being run by his wife Helen who shared a picture of their dog grieving as he holds his shoe.

She wrote: “May I just share with you how, every night, this lovely doggy opens the boot cupboard and brings us Harry’s shoe… every night. I guess dogs grieve too… Helen and the boys x”
Responding to the tweet, @Wolfus1492 said: “No words really, just best wishes and gratitude from everyone who knew just a tiny little bit about him.”
@southwestowl said: “Dogs are far more emotional than humans because they can't speak, they show us with actions. Actions speak louder than words.”
@HobsonDhobson22 added: “That maybe the saddest, most poignant thing I've ever heard!”
