The Only Way Is Essex star Harry Derbidge has revealed that he's learned a lot and woken up to life after his co-star Yazmin Oukhellou was involved in a horror car crash this summer, which ended in tragedy when her boyfriend, Jake McLean, was killed.
Jake was killed instantly in the crash when his car plunged down a ravine in Turkey in the early hours of July 3.
Yazmin managed to escape the horror crash with a broken arm but has been left traumatised by the traumatising ordeal.
Her TOWIE co-star Harry has now opened up about the impact Jake's tragic death has had on the close-knit TV group as a whole, as he revealed that the tragic accident had made him 'realise a lot' about life.
"We’re all close friends anyway but it does make you realise a lot in life,” Harry told OK Magazine.
"I wish Yazmin well, I love her to pieces. I hope she’s recovering well because it’s a lot," he added.
It comes after Yazmin recently opened up about the terrible flashbacks she has been suffering since the horror crash in July.
The 28-year-old TOWIE star has said that she has begun her healing process after the tragic accident in Turkey last month as she broke her social media silence.
Yazmin suffered serious injuries in the crash and took a wellness retreat at Marrakech to start healing.
Taking to her Instagram page recently, the reality star posted a couple of snaps from her sunshine break as she said it might take some time to be the person she used to be.
"Healing is NOT an overnight process. It takes time. Sometimes you’ll feel like you’re finally getting over something & happy again, and then the wound will reopen when you least expect it," she penned alongside the snaps.
"Don’t give up, don’t get discouraged. Take each day 1 step at a time. Just try to be in a better place mentally, emotionally and spiritually than you were yesterday.
"I’ve come back to my second home after what I’ve been through and tried to centre myself.
"When those days hit me where I feel like giving up, I practice gratitude and give thanks to even the smallest of things and it really does help. Love Yaz".
Yazmin's getaway comes after Jake McLean's funeral in Essex, to which she did not go.
She broke her silence for the first time since the funeral with photos of the pair together.
She wrote alongside the sweet snaps: "I have been taking some time away from social media to fully focus on my mental and physical recovery. I needed this time away to work on healing and processing everything as best as I can.
Yazmin continued: "This has taught me that life is so short and we must cherish our loved ones as much as possible.
"I am so grateful for our memories and the special time that Jake and I shared. I’ve not stopped thinking about him and I’ll miss him always. He will forever hold a special place in my heart. I want to thank everyone for their support and lovely messages. I truly appreciate each and every single one of you."
