Harry Connick Jr.'S Wife, Jill Goodacre, Battles Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer

Singer and actor Harry Connick Jr. met his future wife, model Jill Goodacre, on the set of the 1990 film Memphis Belle. Their love story has spanned over 30 years, resulting in a strong and enduring marriage with three children.

Harry has often expressed admiration for Jill's mystery and values, emphasizing their shared morals and goals as a key to their lasting relationship. He considers Jill his best friend and credits their friendship as the foundation of their marriage.

Jill Goodacre gained fame as one of the first catalog models for Victoria's Secret in the 1980s, appearing on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine multiple times. She also made a guest appearance on the sitcom Friends in 1994.

Harry and Jill's relationship began when they met in Los Angeles, with Jill reportedly telling her mother the same day that she had met the man she would marry. A year later, Harry dedicated a song to Jill and proposed. They married in 1994 in New Orleans.

The couple welcomed three daughters: Georgia Tatum, Sara Kate (Kate), and Charlotte. Harry has spoken about their unique relationship with their children, highlighting the absence of an 'embarrassing parent' phase.

In 2012, Jill was diagnosed with Stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma, undergoing treatment and entering remission in 2017. Harry expressed his fears of losing her due to his past experience with his mother's cancer. Despite the challenges, he continues to see Jill as the most beautiful woman.

Jill's mother, Glenna Goodacre, a renowned sculptor, passed away in 2020. Harry paid tribute to her, acknowledging her as a hero and role model for their family.
