Harry and Meghan’s former home Frogmore Cottage could be subdivided

  • Plans are reportedly being explored to reverse the extensive £2.4 million renovation of Frogmore Cottage, the former UK residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
  • The Grade II-listed property, located within Windsor Castle’s Home Park, was converted from five separate residential units into a single family home in 2018.
  • The Duke and Duchess of Sussex resided there for about 10 months before relocating to the US, and were asked to vacate the property in 2023 following the release of the duke's memoir.
  • They subsequently repaid the £2.4 million cost of the refurbishment and rental, which had initially been covered by the Sovereign Grant.
  • Assessments are underway to determine if the cottage could be subdivided back into separate homes, though no decisions have been made or building work started.
