Prince Harry and his wife Meghan should miss the coronation of King Charles III in order to avoid the monarch's full "wrath". That's the warning from former royal butler Paul Burrell who says the pair should stay in the United States and "live a long and happy life", the Express reports.
Harry's memoir, Spare, sparked huge controversy when it hit shelves at the start of the year. The King's wife, Queen Consort Camilla, is referred to more than 60 times in the book and Harry openly showed disdain for her in interviews ahead of its release.
Mr Burrell, who was Princess Diana's butler for 10 years until her death in 1997, told Closer magazine: "The King's wrath is yet to come down on his son. He has criticised the woman he loves in public.
"Harry and Meghan should stay in America and live a long and happy life there. There's not a life for them here now. They've turned their back on the Royal Family, the country and the people of the country."
Harry and Meghan have both received formal invites to the royal occasion on Saturday, May 6 2023. But Mr Burrell does not believe Meghan is "brave or strong enough" to show up.
"I don't think Meghan's brave or strong enough to be there - she'd have to look in the eyes of a family she's pushed under the bus," he said. "But I think Harry may come alone and she's probably told him she won't be able to be by his side with him if he does attend."
The Coronation also coincides with the fourth birthday of Meghan and Harry's son, Prince Archie, providing another possible reason why the American former actress could stay at home. If the family do return to the UK for the Coronation, it's unlikely Archie and his younger sibling Princess Lilibet will attend the event because of their age.

Speculation around who, if any, among them will be at the Coronation mounts after the couple chose to avoid the 2023 Academy Awards last week. PR consultant Carla Speight suggested they did so in order to avoid negative media coverage.
She told the Express: "Their documentary wasn't nominated. Meghan's not currently acting and I don't think Harry has any plans to either, though stranger things have happened with them recently. "If they showed up to the Oscars, it would raise many questions as to why and ultimately it wouldn’t be a good look for them as it makes no sense."
