Harry and Meghan visibly moved meeting Gaza teenage burn victim on Middle East trip

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met with a teenage burn victim from Gaza during a two-day humanitarian trip to Jordan.

During a visit to the Specialty Hospital in Amman on Wednesday (25 February), Prince Harry and Meghan spoke with 14-year-old Maria as she sat in her hospital bed. They also met other medical evacuees and spoke with medical staff during their visit.

Over the next two days, the couple will visit projects they have financially backed, which facilitate the medical evacuation of children from the conflict in Gaza to the Middle Eastern nation.

Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as working royals in 2020, have travelled to Amman at the invitation of Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
