The Duke and Duchess of Sussexes' future deals will be of "much lower value" since their Spotify deal was axed according to one PR expert.
GoUp's chief executive Edward Coram-James confirmed last week that Harry and Meghan's contract with Spotify had been cancelled after just one season of the Duchess' award-winning Archetypes podcast.
A joint statement released by the royal couple and the company to confirm the news alleged that it was a "mutual agreement" made between them to end the deal, the Express reports.
However, despite much speculation of where that leaves Harry and Meghan in terms of being offered other deals, Coram-James has stated that he doesn't believe their Spotify loss will impact their future careers.
Coram-James told Express.co.uk : "[The end of their Spotify deal] does not mean that they will not get future deals.
"What it means is that these deals are likely to be of a much lower value, and are potentially less likely to be centered around the Sussexes producing visual or audio content."
He added: "[Harry and Meghan] cannot afford another dud or cancellation.
"They need to keep to their content output commitments for any other projects that they are working on, to show themselves to be reliable partners.
"They also need to make sure that the next few pieces of work are produced to a very high standard and are commercially viable."
The PR expert opined that a "road for recovery" is possible for Harry and Meghan and that there is a "straightforward formula to it".
He continued on to say that the Sussexes need to "see their popularity rise again", or, at the very least, it needs to "stabilise".
The statement which confirmed the end of the couple's deal with Spotify last week read: "Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series that we made together."
Meghan's revolutionary Spotify-exclusive podcast series Archetypes which was 12 episodes long was launched last August.
Each episode was released weekly and saw a different guest come on the show alongside the 41-year-old Duchess to chat about "labels that try to hold women back".
After its release and multiple mixed reviews on the podcast, speculation grew as to whether or not Meghan would be back for a second series.
However, the show was clearly popular as Meghan was awarded top Entertainment Podcast Host at the Gracie Awards just weeks before the Spotify deal was axed.
Despite no longer being associated with the digital music streaming giant, the couple still have multi-million pound deals with Netflix and Penguin Random House.
