The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could fly their two young children from their home in California to the UK ahead of the late Queen's funeral.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's young children Archie, three, and one-year-old Lilibet are currently being looked after by a nanny while their parents remain in the UK following the death of Her Majesty on September 8.
The Sussexes were on an unofficial European tour when sad news of the 96-year-old monarch's poor health broke on Thursday afternoon.
They immediately cancelled their engagements as the Duke raced to Balmoral on his own by private jet, while other members of his family rushed to be by the Queen's side.
Following the Queen's death, a spokesperson for the couple has since confirmed they will stay in the UK for the period of royal mourning, which finishes seven days after the funeral on September 19.
According to The Telegraph, the Sussexes are trying to work out whether Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, 66, should fly out with the children, who have spent more than a week apart from their parents.

But the Queen’s death at Balmoral on 8 September at the age of 96 forced them to extend their stay.
