A private secretary to the Queen has rubbished Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's claims that they were victims of "institutional gaslighting".
A new trailer for the Duke and Duchesses' second part on Netflix made allegations that lies "were told" to protect Prince William and that the couple were victims of "institutional gaslighting".
Prince Harry claimed people were "happy to lie" to protect his older brother Prince William but wouldn't do the same for him, with his wife Meghan Markle "fed to the wolves".
The Duke of Sussex made the shocking claims in yet another trailer for his controversial Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, which airs on Thursday.
The trailer, which promotes the second half of the six-part series, shows Meghan telling the camera that leaving the UK gave them the chance to "create a home they always wanted".
The 90-second long clip also shows a home video of Lilibet walking, the first time we've seen the little royal on her feet.
The new trailer starts showing Harry and Meghan on their last-ever royal engagement with Harry saying: "I wonder what would have happened to us had we not got out when we did."
Meghan then follows up by saying: "Our security was being pulled. Everyone in the world knew where we were" and Harry adds: "I said we need to get out of here."
The trailer then cuts to Harry filming a video diary on a plane, where he says: "We are on a freedom flight" before he talks about seeing "institutional gaslighting".
Meghan then adds: "I wasn't being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves."
And now, Dickie Arbiter, who served for the Queen from 1988 until 2000, has spoken out and said "no one will believe a word they say".
He also rubbished suggestions they had their security "pulled" prior to Megxit - pointing out that it was only taken away because they were moving to America.
Mr Arbiter told The Sun : "There are more holes in their story than a colander.
"It is absolutely outrageous to be talking about institutional gaslighting.
"And their security was taken away because taxpayers won't pay for them to live in America.
"There are so many mixed messages. I think they have lost direction and no one will believe a word they say."
It comes after palace sources said they will not respond to any claims in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix show that was branded a “circus”.
Insiders said King Charles and William will keep “a dignified silence” and not engage in a “tit-for-tat” battle.
In the first three episodes on Thursday the Duke and Duchess of Sussex railed against their treatment by the Firm.
Harry signified an ”unconscious bias” of racism at the heart of the institution while Meghan labelled William and Kate emotionless after she hugged them at their first meeting.
Harry also claimed the royals asked why Meghan should be "protected" from media speculation, alleging he was told it was something all royal women - including Princess Diana and Kate - have to go through.
While Meghan said she was left unprepared for royal life as she didn't know what a walkabout was and wore muted colours to blend in.
