Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have "no option" but to attend the Coronation in order to get work, an expert has claimed.
It has been confirmed that the Sussexes have been invited to the ceremony to see Harry's father King Charles crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6.
But amid strained relations between the couple and the rest of the Firm, a question mark hangs over their attendance at the historic spectacle.
Harry and Meghan currently live in California, where they've signed a host of multi-million dollar deals with the likes of Netflix and Spotify.
And according to royal commentator and PR expert Richard Fitzwilliam, the Sussexes "can't not attend" the Coronation in order to keep the work rolling in.
He told OK!: "The only reason they get work - work for Netflix, for Spotify, work for Random House - is because they’re royals.
"Now if they were to emphasise their isolation by not attending a royal event, that's as important as a Coronation as well, it would be something that would adversely affect their contracts, I would have thought, or certainly the renewal of any contracts.
"So they’ve got to attend. They have no option but to come."
It comes as Harry is not expected to meet up with his father King Charles during his surprise trip to the UK as the monarch is reportedly "busy".
Harry made a surprise appearance in London this morning and was seen arriving at the High Court to attend a hearing in his latest legal row.
It is believed to be the first time he has been back in the UK since his grandmother the late Queen's funeral in September.
His surprise return also comes nearly three months after he laid bare his troubled relationship with his father and brother Prince William in his controversial autobiography Spare.
The hearing today was due to coincide with Charles and Queen Camilla's state visit to France, which was due to start yesterday but was shelved due to unrest in the country.
But according to the Telegraph, Harry is not expected to meet up with his father while in the UK, even though the King was informed of his visit as he is "busy".
Buckingham Palace said the King was not in Windsor or London and would be leaving for a state visit to Germany on Wednesday morning.
The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are not currently in Windsor either because of the youngsters’ school Easter holidays.
Harry and Meghan have been asked to vacate their UK home Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate, in a move sanctioned by the King, meaning Harry could spend some of his time packing up any remaining possessions.
The duke is also taking legal action against the Home Office over security arrangements when he is in the UK, raising questions about his own security provisions during this visit.
