The Kansas City Chiefs are placing Harrison Butker on IR with a left knee injury, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported on Thursday.

According to the report, Butker will need arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. By going on IR, Butker will miss at least the next four games.
If Butker misses four games, the earliest he can return is Dec. 15 against the Cleveland Browns.
With Butker out, the Chiefs signed kicker Spencer Shrader off the New York Jets practice squad.
Shrader has played for the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets this season. Shrader was the kicker for the Jets on Sunday in their 31-6 loss. Shrader was the lone bright spot, converting on his two field goal attempts.
Shrader made all three extra points in the Colts Week 1 loss to the Texans.
Sunday’s game against the Bills will be Shrader’s third career NFL game.
Butker is 18 of 20 on field goal attempts and 21 of 22 on extra point attempts this season. Butker has built a clutch reputation on his way to becoming the third-most accurate kicker in NFL history at 89.2%.
Charles Omenihu (IR), Isiah Pacheco (IR), and Harrison Butker were limited in practice today.

The Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) will put their undefeated record on the line this Sunday when they travel to upstate New York to play the Buffalo Bills (8-2).
The last time these two teams met, the Chiefs beat the Bills 27-24 in last year’s Divisional Round.
While the Chiefs and Bills should win their respective divisions, this game could decide the No. 1 seed. Buffalo keeps their hopes alive for the one-seed with a win. If Kansas City wins, they’ll hold a three-game lead on the Bills.
