The Harris campaign has launched a new digital ad in battleground states, capitalizing on comments made by John Kelly to major publications where he referred to former President Donald Trump as a fascist. The ad features Vice President Kamala Harris' recent remarks alongside images of Kelly with Trump and Trump with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In the ad, Kelly, a four-star Marine general, is quoted as saying that Trump expressed admiration for dictators and made concerning statements comparing his generals to those of Hitler. Kelly also alleged that during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump sent COVID tests to the president of Russia for personal use while many Americans struggled to access tests.

Harris emphasized the gravity of the upcoming election, stating her belief that Trump is unstable and unfit to serve as president. The campaign aims to highlight the risks of a potential second Trump term by leveraging the concerns raised by former officials like Kelly who have voiced apprehension about the former president.

This digital ad is part of a substantial $370 million ad buy by the Harris campaign, signaling a strategic effort to reach voters and convey their message in the final days leading up to the election.
