There are plenty of ways to convince someone to buy a motorcycle. You can throw around bigger horsepower numbers, promise sharper handling, or stuff it with enough tech to make a smartphone jealous. Harley-Davidson has always played a different game. Sure, it builds motorcycles, but it’s arguably even better at building reasons to ride them.
That’s where events like the European Harley Owners Group Rally come in. They’re less about staring at parked bikes and more about reminding people why they bought one in the first place.
Harley has now revealed where that celebration is heading next. The 33rd annual European H.O.G. Rally will roll into Biograd na Moru, Croatia, from June 10 through June 13, 2027. The event is free to attend and regularly draws tens of thousands of riders from across Europe and well beyond, turning a quiet seaside town into a four-day festival fueled by V-twins, leather jackets, and enough chrome to have you wearing sunglasses long after the sun has set.
Croatia isn’t exactly a random pick, either. Harley keeps coming back because the formula works. Biograd na Moru previously hosted the rally in 2011 and 2014, while the 2025 edition in Medulin attracted more than 30,000 attendees. Between the Adriatic coastline, winding inland roads, and postcard-worthy scenery, it’s not hard to understand why riders are willing to cross borders just to spend a long weekend there.
The rally itself is much closer to a music festival than your average motorcycle meet. Harley says visitors can expect three nights of live concerts, demo rides aboard the latest 2027 motorcycles, guided rides through Croatia’s coastal roads, custom bike displays, a dealer village packed with retailers from across Europe, plus plenty of food, entertainment, and activities throughout the weekend.
In other words, it’s the sort of event where you might arrive planning to admire motorcycles but leave with a camera full of vacation photos and maybe even several thousand dollars missing from your bank account with a Low Rider ST on order.
For Harley-Davidson, that’s kinda the point. Motorcycles are only part of what keeps people coming back to the brand. Shared road trips, destination rallies, and weekends spent riding with thousands of people who all made the same questionable financial decisions have become just as important as displacement figures or spec sheets.
And if you’ve ever wondered why Harley puts so much effort into events like this, the answer is pretty simple. Communities create loyal riders, and loyal riders tend to stick around even when a company isn’t exactly in the best shape. The European H.O.G. Rally has become one of the brand’s biggest annual celebrations, and in 2027, Croatia gets to host the party all over again.
