Harlequins have followed their surprise signing of Lions star Leigh Halfpenny with luring Wales prop Wyn Jones to The Stoop.
The 48-cap Wales loosehead has made the switch from the Scarlets, as an injury-replacement addition ahead of the new season.
The 32-year-old has racked up more than 100 appearances for the Scarlets since his 2013 debut, and will now take on a new challenge in the Gallagher Premiership.
“I’m delighted to join Quins and can’t wait to test myself in the Premiership, and work alongside an exciting group of players,” said Jones, who won two Test caps on tour with the Lions in 2021.
“I’ve heard great things about the club and the supporters, and I’m excited to work with Bomb (Adam Jones) to improve my game and help Quins achieve our objectives this season.”
Jones will add yet more depth to Quins’ front-row resources, leaving head coach Danny Wilson delighted.
“We’re excited to have Wyn Jones at Quins, he’s an experienced and hard-working player who adds significant cover to our front-row,” said Wilson.
“He’s a powerful scrummager and strong ball carrier who’ll become an integral part of our pack this season.”
