It was the main scene of the penultimate episode of Happy Valley - Ann Gallagher telling Ryan Cawood exactly what she thinks of his dad. The would-be detective, who was kidnapped and raped by Tommy Lee Royce, wanted to make sure her teenage nephew knew his dad's crimes.
But some fans thinks she went too far and described the scene as "cruel", while others said that it was time the 16-year-old was told a few home truths.
It was during the latest episode as Ann took in the news that Tommy is on the run after escaping court. The family are now in hiding, but Ryan ran away to his uncle Daniel's house while waiting to be moved to a safe house.
