Happy Valley's James Norton injured himself filming his latest epic courtroom escape stunt.
The actor said that his leg was left bleeding and injured after filming a scene where he escaped the courtroom.
The 37-year-old plays the villainous murderer and sex offender Tommy Lee Royce and Sunday's episode surrounded his character making an escape at his court hearing where he was on trial for a murder charge.
As the trial got underway, Tommy Lee made a run for it and climbed over the box where criminals are held in the courtroom and fought his way out of the building.
However, it seems it wasn't as smooth as it looked as James ended up hurting himself in the filming process.
Talking on Radio 4 about the episode four scene he said: "It was high climbing over the edge of the box! With the stunts you're always pumped full of adrenaline and you think you can do anything and then you do it and you think ouch!
"After I looked down and my leg was just bleeding. But the stunt looked great and it felt great. There's an energy about Tommy. He is an animal, a vital, unstoppable force so when he lets it rip it's so fun."
Later in his interview with Radio 4 James spoke about the third and final series.
He said: "We are so aware that this is quite a special series so to come back is a complete pleasure, there is pressure to make it good but we just feed off that expectation it fuels us in a positive way."
Talking about the end of the season which hasn't aired yet, James said: "I think it will leave people satisfied. It's great. It is the writer Sally Wainwright letting rip and going against expectations but also giving people what they want. It was a rollercoaster to shoot it."
