Amit Shah has revealed that not even the Happy Valley cast know how the show is going to end, as producers have filmed different endings. And his claims come as fans have been 'kept up at night' thinking how the remaining two episodes of the BBC drama's final series will play out.
Nearly seven years after its second run ended on BBC One, the gripping Sally Wainwright drama made its long awaited return to screens on New Year's Day, as over seven million viewers tuned into see Sarah Lancashire back in the police uniform of her famous alter ego Catherine Cawood, the no nonsense copper who's had a lot to contend with, both on and off the beat.
One of the newcomers to the Happy Valley cast this time round is The Witcher and The Long Call star Amit, with the 41-year-old taking on the role of corrupt GP Faisal Bhatti, who ended up killing one of his patients after launching a career threatening side line of dealing prescription medication on the side.

Amit looks set to be at the heart of the action of the many twists and turns that are sure to play out as Happy Valley reaches its conclusion, after viewers were left on the edges of their seats at the end of episode four, when villain Tommy Lee Royce escaped from court and cycled off to freedom.
Lorraine Kelly assured ITV viewers there wouldn't be any spoilers as a clip of Amit featured on her on her show on Wednesday. She told those watching at home: "If you're worried about more spoilers don't worry, because Amit Shah, who plays pharmacist Faisal of course, has revealed that even he's in the dark."
She added: "There's been so many alternative endings filmed that the cast don't actually know what's going to happen in the end."
Some Happy Valley fans are now worried that Tommy will get the ultimate revenge on Catherine by killing her. In the aftermath of Sunday's gripping episode, one viewer tweeted: "Catherine will end up injured/dead cos she goes after Ryan and Tommy and Tommy naturally fights back," with a second reacting: "Sadly I think she's going to die protecting Ryan but will kill Tommy in the process."
Others are convinced it will be Tommy who meets his maker, with another avid viewer posting: I’m calling it: I think Tommy attempts to kill Catherine, but Ryan somehow kills him, whilst saving her" and a fourth commenting: "It'll be Tommy. Ms Wainwright would not let the country suffer the killing of Catherine."
