Angry Happy Valley viewers have accused BBC News of 'spoiling' the highly anticipated finale of the much loved drama, by showing scenes that haven't already aired on screen.
Nine years after it made its debut on the BBC and six weeks after its heralded return to TV, Sally Wainwright's Happy Valley will come to an end on Sunday, February 5, with millions of fans up a height at finding out just how things will conclude. The last episode was set up nicely with the escape of Catherine Cawood's arch nemesis Tommy Lee Royce from court at the end of episode and him getting in contact with son Ryan in secret in last weekend's penultimate instalment, asking him to run away to Marbella with him.
Happy Valley fans are convinced that at least one person will due in the final episode, with Tommy the character most viewers think will meet their maker, although concerns have also been raised over Catherine and her sister Claire, after the frank exchange between them last week. It has been widely reported that different endings has been filmed for the finale, with actor Amit Shah revealing that the cast don't even know the outcome and James Norton, who plays Tommy, claiming that lead actress Sarah Lancashire asked for the ending to be changed.
