Happy Valley fans have been shown for the first time a teaser of the final episode of the popular BBC drama. With the end drawing closer, viewers have been given a sneak peek of what to expect from the explosive grand finale, which will air on Sunday, February 5.
The BBC has released a trailer of the extended final episode, which is 22 seconds long. And while only very short, the teaser clip will leave fans with many unanswered questions.
It sees Ryan (Rhys Connah) being questioned by police and asked: "When was the last time you had any contact with Tommy Lee Royce?" Will the teen the truth about his father reaching out to him and his plan to flee the country?
And an intense game of cat and mouse sees Tommy silently move through a house, begging the question, could it be that the fugitive has made it into Catherine's home? Eagle-eyes will also notice that the camera briefly pans on the image of Ryan on Catherine's desk, hinting at the finale ending in sadness for the teenager.
During the emotive final scenes, the trailer reveals Catherine stating: "He's still out there. He's going to be angry and he's going to be even more desperate and dangerous. But as the trailer closes with the award-winning actress doubled over crying, could the third and final series end in devastation for her?
