Happy Mondays star claims band is neurodiverse and attracts like minds

  • Happy Mondays vocalist Shaun Ryder, diagnosed with ADHD in his fifties, believes all original band members are neurodiverse.
  • Ryder suggests that neurodiverse individuals tend to attract others with similar neurological profiles.
  • Bandmate Mark "Bez" Berry, however, denies being neurodiverse, stating he has body dysmorphia instead.
  • Ryder also noted that his late brother Paul, a band member, exhibited traits consistent with ADD without hyperactivity.
  • Several of Ryder's own children have received diagnoses for neurodiverse conditions, including ADHD and autism.
