'Happy' little boy left a 'big hole in lives of those who knew him'

Tributes and condolences have flooded in after a family lost their little boy.

Raphael Labrousse-Stanyon tragically died aged just 22 months on the morning of June 1 after his parents put him to bed 'as normal' the night before. He 'never stopped smiling' according to his mum Nicola, who told the ECHO of the immense heartbreak of his loss.

She said: "I've never known a child to smile so much.

"He was so happy. He'd fall over and bang his head and he would get up and smile, he was so happy. His big brother was his best friend and partner in crime. And he loved cuddles with his little sister.

"He loved dinosaurs, he was obsessed with them and he loved eating cake, he loved going the café and he loved singing and dancing."

Raphael's funeral will be held at the Holy Family Church in Southport on Monday, June 26. Tributes to the lovable boy have poured in today.

In a message directed to Raphael's parents, Michelle Gormley said she knows 'exactly what you are going through'. She added: "Sending you love and strength to get through this horrendous time."

Michelle Horne said: "He has left a big hole in the life of everyone who knew him."

Debbie Langley said: "Every parent's worst nightmare. Good night god bless beautiful boy. Condolences to his family at this sad time.

Amy Louise Sutton said: "I can’t bear these headlines simply because I can’t bear to think of losing a child this way. Worst nightmare possible. Rest in peace you beautiful boy"
