A "happy, healthy" little girl has died just hours after complaining of belly ache.
Milly-Rose Stirrup, six, was off school with a bug but was otherwise fit and healthy, eating an ice lolly and playing on her Nintendo the day before she passed away. A few hours later, she told her parents Shaun and Pip she had a belly ache and her heart was hurting so they took her to hospital.
The couple held her hand as she was hooked up to antibiotics, and discussed what they'd do once she was well enough to go home - but, tragically, just a few hours later, Milly-Rose died.
