The emergence of Father's Day roots back to the early 1900s in the United States. Sonora Smart Dodd, the daughter of American Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart brought in the concept of Father's Day. For the first time, in 1910 Father's Day was celebrated on the third of June on Sunday.
