Hannah Bronfman on Designing a Quietly Luxurious Home That Feels Calm, Personal, and Effortlessly Elevated

Hannah Bronfman.

For Hannah Bronfman, luxury is really about intention. Her triplex loft in NoHo, Downtown Manhattan, is an intricate balance of New York City grit and quietly luxurious charm, prioritizing peace and celebrating the beauty of imperfection.

'I want my home to feel calm, inviting, but also thoughtfully curated,' Hannah shared, as she sat down for an exclusive interview with Homes & Gardens.

'I focus less on perfection and more on how a space makes you feel. I’m drawn to pieces that are both functional and personal, like the vinyl bar in our home, which is a nod to both my husband and me being DJs. It adds a sense of character, while small sensory details, like home fragrance, add to the ambiance to create a calming atmosphere.'

Achieving such serenity in an urban setting is no easy feat, but as Hannah explains, the secret is in her Italian sofa, and something slightly more accessible: Mrs. Meyer’s oil diffusers.

'I’m drawn to pieces that feel both personal and functional, whether that’s objects that hold meaning for my family or everyday essentials that still feel elevated and intentional within the space,' Hannah says.

'Mrs. Meyer’s has been a "must-have" in my home since college, so when I heard the brand was launching a diffuser [available at Walmart], I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and incorporate it into my home. It’s become a go-to for creating a sense of comfort and calm throughout my home.'

As mentioned, alongside a signature scent, Hannah finds serenity in her iconic living room sofa – a B&B Italia Camaleonda, no less.

'Our living room is anchored by the B&B Italia Camaleonda [like this one at 1stDibs] in a two-tone navy blue [seen below]. It's a perfect setup for entertaining and invites a mix of sitting on it and the rug, which creates a really intimate and fun vibe.'

The kitchen is rarely seen as a peaceful space, but in Hannah's home, she finds joy around her island. 'Our kitchen is such a huge part of our daily lives as it is for most people, so we have a large island that when we entertain, we find people gravitate to it and gather around it, usually making cocktails,' explains.

'I also love my coffee nook at the bar by the dining table. It's nice to have a dedicated space for my coffee, away from the kitchen where my kids are usually eating breakfast. I walk over and have 3 mins to myself to make coffee, which, if the moms are reading this, feel me on 3 mins of peace.'

'What helps me most is creating small moments throughout the day to reset—sometimes that’s as simple as tidying up or turning on my Mrs. Meyer’s Premium Scented Oil Diffuser to shift the mood of the space before moving into the next part of my day.'

'Scent is always the finishing touch for me, it’s what helps shift the energy of a space and make it feel complete and peaceful.' Thankfully for us, her top picks are so accessible. Shop some of her favorites (and the Mrs. Myers buys we also love) below.

In the end, it is the layering of personal meaning, tactile comfort, and sensory detail that defines Hannah Bronfman’s home. A space that feels as effortless as it is intentional, and a quiet lesson in how luxury is truly lived.
