Hammersmith Bridge reopening boosted as minister gives strongest signal yet of key funding

A deal to break the funding deadlock over re-opening Hammersmith Bridge is getting closer, a minister has signalled.

Roads minister Simon Lightwood gave the strongest sign yet that the project will be part-financed through the Government’s £1 billion Infrastructure Fund for bridges and tunnels.
