It's been confirmed that hit musical Hamilton is touring to Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre in November 2024. The venue had dropped a heavy hint on its social media accounts - read more about that here - before confirming the news on Tuesday, April 18.
Posting the news on social media, the Cardiff Bay venue said the musical would be staged in the Welsh capital for nine weeks from November 26, 2024 to January 25, 2025.
The caption read: "Coming to the greatest city in the world. #HamiltonUKTour arrives in Cardiff on 26 November 2024 for 9 weeks over Christmas." Tickets go on sale in autumn 2023 for the Olivier, Tony, Grammy and Pulitzer prize winning show written by Lin Manuel Miranda. For more what's on stories, sign up for our newsletter here.

WMC Artistic Director, Graeme Fallow, said: "We know just how long people have had to wait for it, but now we know: next Christmas our Donald Gordon Theatre will finally be the room where it happens. What better way for us to celebrate our 20th anniversary?
"The story of Alexander Hamilton has taken the world by storm, so there was no way we could say no to this. I hope you'll buy your tickets and meet me inside."
Teasing the news last night, the Millennium Centre penned a cryptic message which stated a simple: "#WaitForIt" with a star emoji, the emblem of Hamilton - the musical's logo depicts the main protagonist, Alexander Hamilton, striking a pose atop a star with its top point cut out and his silhouette being the fifth point.
Hamilton is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton and is based on historian Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography 'Alexander Hamilton'. A brand new theatre company and cast is being assembled for the UK and Ireland tour.
Tickets for other newly announced Hamilton shows can be found on ATG Tickets, and include West End performances and shows at Manchester's Palace Theatre.
