Hamilton Accies launch new community food and baby bank

Hamilton Accies this week launched their new community food and baby bank.

Working in conjunction with the charity Blameless - who support children and families affected by addiction - and the club's Community Trust, the food bank is open to anyone across South Lanarkshire in need.

It willbe accessible within the club’s north stand every Thursday from noon to 3pm.

Referals are not needed, however details will be required to be given to volunteers.

Accies’ chief executive Colin McGowan told Lanarkshire Live : “A huge thank you to our fans for the overwhelming support and steady flow of donations for our new food and baby bank service in Hamilton over the last few days.

The foodbank is open every Thursday and manned by volunteers (Hamilton Advertiser)

"It really will help others within our community.

“Blameless and the Hamilton Accies Community Trust volunteers welcome anyone who needs a little helping hand each Thursday to pop along and collect both food and baby goods such as nappies and clothes.”
