Kieran MacDonald has challenged his Hamilton Accies side to go on a run of games that can put them into play-off contention in the Championship.
Accies haven't managed back-to-back wins this season, but left-back MacDonald says the key to success in the Championship is to go on a winning run, and reckons four games in a row could take his side high up the table.
MacDonald's former club Raith Rovers stand in the way of Hamilton starting that run, as the sides clash at Stark's Park, and the former Airdrie and Clyde star says they know improvement is needed for them to take points.
Stuart Taylor's side are currently sixth in the table, 11 points behind Partick Thistle in fifth, and MacDonald admitted: "It has been a bit up and down for us this season. I think we all know ourselves that we could do a lot better, in terms of where we are in the table.
“We’ve given away some stupid goals in last minutes and stuff, and it’s obviously not giving us the three points, we’ve ended up drawing games and stuff.
“But I think in the past couple of weeks, maybe a month or so, we’ve been a lot better, in terms of creating chances, and it’s now a case of taking those chances.
“It’s about having that consistency. If you have maybe four games on the bounce, everybody in that league will drop points, even at the top end.
“If you get that wee run you can see yourself going right up, or if you don’t, you can see yourself right down at the bottom.
“It is about going on a run, keeping that going, and we’ve been on a not-bad run, though the Dunfermline game was a wee slip-up and we probably should have got something from that.
“It’s about being more clinical, taking our chances and going on a wee run.”
