Hamilton Accies boss "quietly confident" of new signings after Ross County cup shock

Accies County Hamilton Accies Ross County John Rankin Dylan McGowan

Hamilton Accies boss John Rankin is "quietly confident" of adding two more new signings this week and reckons their Scottish Cup scalp of Ross County might just help seal the deal.

Rankin has already bolstered this month with the additions of Tom Sparrow on loan from Stoke City and Dylan McGowan on loan from Kilmarnock.

And both players played their part in helping Accies see off the Staggies to book their place in the fifth round - with McGowan also one of the successful penalty takers in the 5-3 shootout triumph alongside matchwinner Andy Ryan.
