Hamilton Accies have announced the departure of two experienced midfielders, who have chosen to end their spells at New Douglas Park.
Lewis Spence, who has been plagued by injury since joining the club in 2021, had a year left on his deal but has had his contract torn up to allow him to pursue new opportunities.
And academy product Reegan Mimnaugh is following him out of the door after rejecting a new contract with the League One side.
Spence suffered a knee injury at the start of last season and underwent knee surgery last year, spending the latter part of 2022 trying to build up his weight following months on the sidelines.
He returned in time to play a part in trying to help Accies avoid relegation from the Championship, but couldn't save them from the drop amid six appearances between April and May.
Mimnuagh has been with the since he was a teenager and made his first team debut in 2018.
A statement from the club read: "Leaving the club today is Reegan Mimnaugh, who has chosen not to renew his contract, and 27-year-old midfielder Lewis Spence.
"Reegan has been here at Accies since he was 14 and made 95 appearances for us.
"The club have also mutually agreed with Lewis Spence to terminate his contract early and allow him to move on.
"Lewis made 32 appearances for us over the past two seasons. Both depart with our best wishes for the future."
