The latest proposal aims to bring an end to the ongoing conflict, a condition that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed reluctance towards accepting.
The senior American official highlighted that the proposal includes a permanent cessation of hostilities, a stance that Netanyahu has deemed as a red line. This development marks a shift from the previous position held by Israel.
