Half of women have not had a child by age 30 for first time, figures show

Half of women in England and Wales have chosen not to have a baby by their 30th birthday for the first time ever in 2020, according to official figures.

Statistics from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), released on Thursday, show 50.1% of women born in 1990 didn’t have a baby by the time they turned 30.
