Women having children later in life has meant that for the first time half have not become mums by their 30th birthday, according to official figures in 2020.
Statistics from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), released on Thursday, show that 50.1% of women born in 1990 were childless by the time they turned 30.
This is the first time that half of women did not have a child by that age since records began in 1920.
