A man has been taken into custody after at least seven people were killed in two separate shootings at farms in Half Moon Bay, California.
It is understood that four people were found dead at a farm on Cabrillo Highway at 2.22pm local time on Monday afternoon while another person was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Shortly after this discovery, three more people were discovered dead at a nearby farm.

The suspected gunman was first reported to be on the run with police hunting for a man in a red SUV, meanwhile, motorists were ordered to avoid Highway 92 between Highway 1 and 35.
The alleged shooter, who is believed to have acted alone, has been taken into custody, according to US police.
At this point, local reports suggest that all of the deceased are Chinese farm workers.
One injured person from the shooting was taken to Stanford Medical Center by helicopter but the status of their health has not been confirmed.
Images circulating on US television and online show the suspected attacker being taken to the ground and handcuffed as he was arrested by police.
He has since been confirmed as Zhao Chunli, 67, and is believed to have been a worker at one of the farms.
Local police initially tweeted: "The Sheriff's Office is responding to a shooting incident with multiple victims in the area of HWY 92 and the HMB City limits.
"Media is requested to approach from the north and stage at the Half Moon Bay substation at 537 Kelly Ave. in Half Moon Bay."
A later post stated: "*Update* Suspect is in custody. There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time."
Four victims were found at 2125 Cabrillo Highway (Highway 1), close to the centre of Half Moon Bay at around 2.30 pm while another person was rushed to the hospital.
The suspect reportedly drove himself to a sheriff's station where police arrested the man who is believed to be a Half Moon Bay resident.
Zhao Chunli, 67, was named as the suspect by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and police say he is cooperating with the investigation.
“Chunli was taken into custody without incident and the weapon was located in his vehicle,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “There is no current outstanding threat to the community.”
He was seen being ordered to get out of a car by police and then being forced to the ground before he was handcuffed and taken away.
A witness told reporters: "He seemed calm and quiet, he didn't react much when he was taken down."
The areas where the incidents have taken place have been taped off and police can be seen speaking to workers at the farms.
