KOLKATA: The Bengal government has declared a half-day holiday in all its offices from the second half of Monday, as a mark of respect to Lata Mangeshkar.
The state government has said that people would be allowed to pay their last respects in front of a portrait of the legendary singer between 10am and 5pm in Rabindra Sadan. For the next 15 days, her songs will be played back at all public places, government installations and traffic lights.
