Shares of defence companies such as Hindustan Aeronautics, BEL, Paras Defence, BEML, Astra Microwave, among others gained up to 4% on Tuesday after the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) approved capital acquisition proposals worth around Rs 2,12,000 crore on October 26.

HAL and BEL rose 2% each on the BSE, while Paras Defence, BEML, and Astra Microwave gained up to 4%.
