Winner of the Siller Gun shoot held on Friday night by the Haill Six Incorporated Trades of Kirkcudbright was Nick Jackson, right.
Runner up is Ian Allison, left holding the Siller Arrow.
Presenting the ancient trophies is Deacon Convener Ian D Swan.
The Siller Gun Believed to be the oldest sporting trophy in the world still competed for having been presented to the Haill Six Incorporated Trades of Kirkcudbright by King James VI in 1587.
The monarch instructed that it was to be “to be shot for occasionally in order to accustom the lieges in the use of firearms”.
The precious artefact, a 1787 replica of the original, is currently homed in the Stewartry Museum in Kirkcudbright.
The competition was held to mark Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
