High street giant H&M is selling a homeware product that can make your living room look brand new instantly, according to one homeware expert. The best thing is it costs less than £3, so it's affordable for people on a tight budget but looking to freshen up their living room.
Interior design blogger and northern gal Sara, who runs 49k follower strong Instagram page @thenorthernhome_ met up with us in the newly opened H&M Home store in the Trafford Centre to explain how you can transform your living space on a budget.

We took a walk around the store, and she explained to me how a simple cushion cover can make your home look brand new. She said: "If I wanted to freshen up my living room, the first thing I would look at is cushion covers. They're such an easy, simple and affordable way to make your living space look completely different, and it doesn't have to cost the earth."
H&M Home currently has loads of cushion covers available for £2.99 each. There are plenty of designs to choose from - including polka dot, tribal designs and more abstract patterns.
My personal favourite is the Patterned cotton cushion cover in Anthracite grey/Patterned. Of course, that costs £2.99.
The bargain cushion covers haven't gone unnoticed by style-savvy bargain hunters on social media, either. Posting on its H&M Home Instagram account, the retailer shared a picture of some of its most popular cushions.
Alongside a picture of a sofa filled with the £2.99 pieces, H&M wrote: "Keep the patio doors wide open!" The post quickly drew the attention of shoppers, who branded it the 'perfect room'.
