Eagled-eyed shoppers have noticed that Bristol's H&M store has been closed for a number of weeks. And now it's been confirmed the shop won't reopen until the summer.
The Cabot Circus store is popular among shoppers both in the Bristol area as well as those slightly further afield, due to their affordable prices and beautiful clothing. But the retail giant has now confirmed that Bristol's flagship store has temporarily shut for a huge refurbishment.
An H&M spokesperson said: "The store is going under a refurbishment. It’ll reopen in the early summer period."

A Bristol customer took to Reddit to share the news that the store was closed. Captioning the post 'H&M in Cabot Circus - is it closed forever?', they said: “Saw from a bus this afternoon it’s all packed up and empty - has it closed for good? I couldn’t see anything on their website.”
Others soon joined sharing the confusion claiming to have seen the store open just the day before. “Oh what! I went in yesterday morning and it was normal,” said one. While another added: “Yeah I saw it yesterday and had everything out as normal too! I hope not too many shops close.”
A commenter stopped the speculation saying: “No - it’s closed for a refit. See Cabot Circus Website.”
In 2020, H&M permanently shut its other store in Bristol city centre, which has now been converted into a Lidl supermarket.
