Gyanvapi: Lawyers of women plaintiffs begin arguments in district judge court

VARANASI: The advocates of Anjuman Intezamiya Masajid - the mosque management committee - on Tuesday completed arguments before district judge against the maintainability of the suit filed by five women plaintiffs seeking worshipping rights at Shringar Gauri and other deities in the Gyanvapi compound.

"With the completion of AIM's arguments, counter arguments by advocates of Hindu women plaintiffs have also started," said district government counsel (civil) Mahendra Prasad Pandey, mentioning that the counter arguments would continue on Wednesday.
