GURUGRAM: The 12-day-long Saras Mela, the art and cultural fair of Gurugram, will start from Saturday at Leisure Valley Park in Sector 29 to provide a platform for marketing of products of artisans and self-help groups (SHGs). The exhibition will last till April 20.
Chief executive officer (CEO) of zila parishad Gurugram — Anu Sheokand — who is the nodal officer for Saras Mela, has reviewed the preparation. “The fair will have 150 stalls and it will start from 11am and continue till 10pm,” said Haryana development and panchayat minister Devendra Singh Babli.
Sheokand said it is a matter of pride as it is being held after a gap of 13 years.
